So here are some recent watercolour paintings for you. First is an autumn view of some nearby trees, not far from my studio. Also, with an afternoon in Sandwich, looking towards the medieval Barbican gate with some afternoon shadows. I painted both of these on location in October.
All these watercolours are painted on 1/4 imperial size papers, and will be set in a quality cream mount, to suit a frame size of, 14” x 18” not included.

here are a few more watercolours, afternoon light in Venice, The sands at Margate harbour, a view over Minster in Thanet, followed by an interesting line of trees nearby, all of these last three, are in east Kent.

Watercolour is probably my first love, before other media like oils, as I spent many more years trying to perfect my skills in this difficult medium.

The most important lesson for me was ‘Patience’. Watercolour requires lots of it, and confidence as well. Of course, only experience and practice can provide this.
