Why did I stop Blogging?

Why do I Blog when the weather is fine

Why do I blog and why did I stop?
I’ve been out doing what I love most, Painting and Sketching!

Because I prefer to work out doors directly from nature.  I prefer to go out most days, when it’s dry, and we’ve just had the most glorious summer, with very little rain.

So that’s my excuse for not posting my ‘Studio Stories’ blog. As a result, I have amassed a good body of work, as yet unseen. I also ran out of fresh ideas, it can happen to all of us, ‘writers block’.

For more about lockdowns and isolation, and being motivated Click here. Artists know it as Inspiration, or rather, lack of Inspiration. Working out doors means I almost never lack inspiration. I can guarantee that wherever I am, once I get out of the car, and look around, there will be a subject to capture.

The above photo shows me at our local Allotments, a source of much subject matter.

I do know artists who go to their studio and sit and think, hoping for a subject to emerge from deep within. That’s not for me, – Too ‘hit or miss’.

So it’s nearly October, the month when I hold my solo Exhibition in Ramsgate, at the prestigious York Street Gallery.

The dates are from 2pm on Wed 9th to 12 noon on Wed 16th!

Full details in my next post!

Thank you for being a loyal follower.
