Taking a bearing, oil painting

I painted ‘Taking a bearing’ from an old photograph by my uncle.

He was a crew member on the ‘Mischief’ a pilot cutter.

It shows the captain taking a bearing with his sextant.

It measures 14” x 10” unframed, but can come with a quality hardwood painted frame as shown.

This features in my ‘Call of the Sea Exhibition’.
