It’s Exhibition season again, where to see my work?

At the exhibition

I have been very busy selecting approx. 50 of my best recent paintings, to present to you this autumn.

The first event is hosted by Sandwich Arts Week, a popular annual event, supporting all the arts. I will be showing eight oil paintings, with varied subjects, including these gondoliers plying their trade in Venice.

The next exhibition is hosted by Shoreline Galleries, at the Pie Factory Gallery in Margate’s Old Town. A large important gallery, with 50 of the best local artists. I have three oil paintings, including this painting of Kingsgate Bay, a nearby coastal landmark.

Then we have my large annual solo exhibition, ‘The Call of the Sea’ which includes many oil paintings of boats at sea, under sail, being repaired, waiting for the tide, or their owners. This has been my major theme this year,  when I visited many harbours and boatyards in my quest for interesting subjects.

The call of the Sea, exhibition

My preparations have included re-painting many frames and choosing the finest paintings to frame and hang on the walls. I have also printed 500 exhibition cards and started promoting it on social media. Last years exhibition was cancelled by covid lockdowns, so I am doubly pleased to present this one.

It has been quite a long time since I have met up with my collectors and supporters, so here is the perfect opportunity to re-connect in person.

I have also painted a selection of small unframed original oil paintings, designed to be sold at low prices, and unlike prints, they will have a long life and be eminently frameable.  I will also have a good selection of greetings cards, based on popular paintings.
